Awesome and authentic! Best Mexican food since I left Atlanta! I put in Mexican food in my yelp app! This came up with great reviews and it was close to home. So I threw on a jacket and went. It was a Friday night and to my surprise there were a LOT of kids there. I'm baby free but I still take notice because their parents are not really controlling their kids they were running around in the bar area! I didn't get salsa right away had to ask for silverware and I kept asking for lime I figured they were out so I politely asked the lady that I kept asking if they were out of lime? She said no I'm sorry let me get it. Maybe she was having an off night. Because she kept forgetting stuff. The establishment was clean the workers were busy, the patrons were happy some too drunk and happy not watching their children. I found out this is the second establishment while cashing out they have a kids eat free night on Mondays, I think. I asked bc of all the kids I'm like is this a kids eat free night!? She said they have kids though, all the time in there because it's so close to neighborhoods in the area. I'm a mom like I told the lady but the parents need to get their damn kids this is not a playground. She nodded in agreement. Being baby free for me was like shut up already so I can hear the game and myself think. I had no idea I was speaking with the owner she was humble and very understanding. She gives 10% military discount I still tipped well because of the food and their busy work ethic. No one is perfect! Not even the owner. I will go back with my kid since it's very very kid friendly for sure! Too kid friendly! Kids jumping on the bar stools running in the bar area was not cool! Kept me from giving five stars, unfortunately.

The food is very good, especially the salsa, but don't expect authentic Mexican food that you would get at local joints in Mexico. And the service and prices are also great.

We eat at No Way Jose's at least once a week. It's around the corner from our house so the location is a major draw. Even when they are busy, we manage to get our large party sat quickly. The owner is in the business daily and comes back to check on the tables. The wait staff is always good and takes care of us every week. The food is the typical mexican fare. Quesadillas, fajitas, tacos, rice and beans. Your chip basket will rarely run out. Guacamole and queso is always good too. There are options for kids too that will save you a few bucks.

Disclaimer: Not authentic at all nor does it compare to tex-mex or so. cal style... It's fresh and it's somewhat healthier than other non authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. Great flavor for not being even close to the real thing. Chips and salsa are great, our favorite dish is on the back of the menu. Its a big plate of awesomeness! Kinda like a fajita with potatoes. The $2 margaritas are good!

Basically Mexican fast food. Totally underwhelmed. Coconut Tilapia was basically fried catfish. "Caribbean" sauce was honey mustard. Literally nothing we had was good; not even the salsa. Atmosphere would have been nicer had the place not been so run down. I'd only go here again if I lived in Pike Road and too lazy to drive to East Montgomery.

I went to the restaurant around 7pm'ish on a Sat. and it was my first visit. Plenty of parking at that time. I was able to pick up Wi-Fi from the neighboring library. No TV's in the main ding area. Not very busy in the dining area and I was seated and waited on quickly. I was there solo and had time to observe. There was background music playing and it was not overbearing. There were a couple families with children and a couple of couples, and I don't know how busy the bar area was. It appeared that food was coming out quickly and I didn't see any plates being returned to the kitchen. Several people leaving took a "to go" box, so either their food was good or was large portions or both or something else. The people leaving did not appear to be complaining or disgruntled, so it appeared they had a successful dining experience. It wasn't a bad sign. I enjoyed the salsa, which had a small kick, my main course and the sweet plantain's. I took my remaining portion home. :) I had an overall good experience; I'll be back.

I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food but I love No Way Jose's. I've never had a bad meal there and am particularly fond of the fish tacos, the chicken sandwich with the pineapple, the fajitas, the garlic shrimp ... basically everything I've ever tried there. We've never waited more than 90 seconds to get our drinks to our table with a basket of chips and salsa. It's very comfortable inside and outside and the service is as fast as your average fast food restaurant. The portions are plentiful and it's never too noisy. Always a nice, tasty and quick meal ... I don't think we've ever been there longer than 30 minutes. You won't be disappointed!

Great atmosphere and good food. They have a mix of traditional Mexican and Cuban foods. Friendly staff but they just opened so may need some time to work kinks out.

Wonderful restaurant! Not many people there and I couldn't tell if they were open due to the tinted windows, but once I tried the doors and found they were open it was a great atmosphere. Two sides; restaurant and a bar. We were seated at the bar although it looked as the dining room was empty. Wife and I had Cuban while the daughter had Mexican fare. Of course, my 4 yo boy had pizza and fries. The empanadas were great and better than the ones I had in Spartanburg by the place that won the Food Network Food court Wars show! The wife and I spent the next two nights at home trying to "recreate" them. The Cuban Holiday rice had a wonderful earthen flavor that tasted what I felt like authentic should taste like and the shrimp I had was so great, I couldn't stop eating until they were all gone. Our host/server was so gracious and accommodating and deserved every cent of the tip left. We're definitely fans and are planning on making a return trip as soon as we try some other restaurants on our Montgomery list.

We tried this place out last night - overall it was ok. For a Friday we were expecting some type of happy hour or a packed house. No happy hour and not that many people. Food was ok - I've had better authentic Mexican. Not sure if we are going back any time soon.

Excellent Mexican food, but if you are not in the mood for Mexican, try their sandwiches. They are very good!! And ask for Robert as your server.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
